Look, I know I mention this every time this question comes up, but:
Fellow roomheads — our pretty-damn-funny animated doc with tales from the only crew member who saw the whole O.G. shoot - sound mixer Zsolt Magyar - can be scored on VOD and Blu-ray @ ShootThisPig.com 🥄🥄🥄🥄
The "twist" was that everyone with a double-digit IQ knew what the twist was going to be within the first 45 minutes 🤨
Godzilla with Matthew Broderick.
Tie between Carrington and Mars Attacks
I was so excited for Battlefield Earth. It was so bad that it actually wandered into hilarious.
It was partially responsible for this, so it wasn't all bad 😃 youtu.be/K5YWTFW5WMw?...
Four Rooms...I think it's the only movie I've ever walked out on.
"300" was so egregiously anti-Iran propaganda dressed-up as historical fiction.
Leonard Part 6: Just a total disgrace. Only movie I walked out of. www.imdb.com/title/tt0093...
Covers are fine, especially that one. I love Nirvana covers. AND Mashups of SLTS, as its the song that can be ported to any genre. one of my faves --
How do you feel about Mash-ups?
As a theater manager, Tron Legacy was a lot of fun. For showtimes, we'd crank the fucking volume. We shook the entire building. People would come out of other auditoriums to complain and we'd just shrug and be like, "Sorry. Disney wants it played at that level." youtu.be/ASYLSQCa97w?...
I only think 2 of the tracks on legacy's soundtrack are very good tbh 🤷♀️ so maybe I'm not the person to argue that there are just greater evils than Disney's pet money pitfall franchise (it's So funny that they made it a franchise. In ten more years we can waste another billion on it I believe in it)
THE HORSES. THEY ATTACKED ON HORSES. “We’ve analysed their attack strategy, Sir - and there *is* a danger. Shall I tilt the Star Destroyer a little bit, and tip all those fucking horses the fuck off?”
I appreciated what the prequels were attempting, at least. And I enjoyed TFA, & TLJ is genuinely one of my favourite movies. But TRoS is a monumental and comprehensive disaster. It's the death of story. It's the capstone on the edifice of evidence that JJ Abrams should not work in the creative arts.
Before it came out I said "I just want 2 things: Don't kill Chewbacca and don't destroy the Millennium Falcon, just don't do either of those and we're good" and boyyyyyyy howdy
When the best part of the trilogy has a finale where the female lead just dies because she gets too sad, that's a pretty horrid movie series.
Recency bias on your part. RoS didn't even kill Star Wars movies. On the other hand...
I was eleven when this movie came out. I wanted to leave the theater, but my mom wouldn’t let me. I never forgave her.
I left Mulholland Drive feeling confident that was the worst movie I'd ever seen. I couldn't stop thinking about how much I hated it. I hated it so much I had to go back and see it again. It is one of my favorite films.
And then I watched Twin Peaks: The Return. Damn! It’s the best season of all, and by far, the darkest! David Lynch was truly one of a kind. I miss him, so much. Here in LA, several years ago, he did daily weather reports on KCRW, a college radio station here. www.kcrw.com/people/david...
www.kcrw.comcaptain is in the tool belt fight episode of get a life, if you haven't seen that youtu.be/7TVGzv27670?...
The worst movie I ever saw at the cinema was Dragonball Evolution. Saw it in Fukuoka Japan WAY ahead of the US release. While there were only 8 people watching at the start of the film (I counted) I found myself alone by the time credits rolled.
it.movieI’ll share a Wikipedia article about it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotosco...
Even Bill Cosby went on TV and said "don't see this movie." youtu.be/Ol9yNgOoHbc?...
"surely this is the worst thing that has ever been done by Bill Cosby!"
The Popeye village from the movie is still a tourist attraction in Malta. I drove by it.
maps.app.goo.glNorm of the North, which I went to only because my kid wanted to see it.
