A lot of criticism towards Marvel movies being kinda vapid and empty does have legitimate ground. That said, I liked what the newest Spider-man had to say on being overworked and burn-out. Struggling with near-burn out, I may have read a lot into it, but I did click with it.

Pitch: A Dale and Tucker vs Evil play on all those shark horror movies. A bunch of screaming teens in terror of a run of the mill, not that interested in people, shark.

Me: "Yeah, this Spider-man has Scorpion as a villain, played by that one actor from 'Better Call Saul'." Wife: "Bob Odenkirk is in Spider-man?" Me: "No………but I can see where the confusion came in."

In my Watchmen re-read, one thing I don't see mentioned enough is Dave Gibbon's excellent way of drawing the same people over multiple periods of time, back and forth, and you're NEVER left in the dark over who it is!

Science Fiction is when the lovers of different species have a room on the ship and go to the mess hall as a couple. Fantasy is when the lovers of different species wistfully meet in the light of the moon, yearning intensely even thought their love cannot be.

Re-reading Watchmen and on the first issue/chapter. The most realistic thing in this book? Running into an old co-workers, realizing you don't have much to talk about so you default to reminiscing on old work stories. Ah, poor Captain Carnage.
