For the record: NOPE. Honestly, I don’t think there’s an issue today I care about on a personal level more deeply than trans rights. And it’s rough out there right now. Bigots on one side of the political aisle and too many cowards on the other. ⬇️

I had a tiny amount of hope that this would be a reasonable discussion, but it turned out to be a panel comprised of: slow growth advocate who loves design review, architect who loves design review (but doesn't build housing), and developer who loves design review. And Alex Brennan.
Qagggy!I am at the panel discussion sponsored by the “Reboot Design Review Coalition.”
It’s time for the Seattle Parks Department to move into the 21st Century: build and preserve places for people, not cars.
Qagggy!I hope this is the last year we allow Genesee Park to be used as a parking lot for Seafair. It creates a large barren space that degrades the park year round.
I hope that we'll see transportation advocacy orgs represented in this search committee. The top public safety concern for a number of years from Seattle residents is dangerous driving. A new police chief should be able to engage with that reality.
Mayor Katie B. WilsonSeattle deserves a real voice in choosing its next Police Chief. We’ll create a search committee that reflects the diversity of our city and builds a public engagement process that gives residents a meaningful role in defining what we look for in our next chief. More details on that to come.
Why are Californians so invested in electing Will Dreher to the Washington State legislature? And why are so few people in his own district (46th) donating to him?
Qagggy!I read his public disclosures, so I know most of Will Dreher's money comes from out of state, with a surprising number from folks at AI companies. What I don't know is whether Will Dreher is an industry plant. I have no idea if he is an industry plant. If he's an industry plant, I have no knowledge.
I put together all the funds from out-of-state AI/tech sector (>75%) with zero history of Dreher doing policy/political/community work in the 46th LD and it's clear that he will have no accountability to our communities. Vote Ron Davis for change. Or vote Pollet for status quo. But not Dreher!

Brett HamilDo y'all know about @electioncheatsheet.org? It's a nifty little customizable endorsement aggregator & makes it pretty clear who you should vote for in the **AUG 4 PRIMARY** (folks like @ronpdavis.bsky.social & @hannahsabiohowell.bsky.social) Go check it out: electioncheatsheet.org
ROUTE 8 and DENNY WAY: starting on Saturday, buses and cars merging onto Interstate 5 won’t compete for the same lane of Denny Way. To keep traffic flowing, people driving to I-5 south from eastbound Denny Way will turn right on Boren Ave and left on Howell St instead of using Yale Ave.
@sgn.org endorsements were added last week! For example, see @hannahsabiohowell.bsky.social leftycheatsheet.org#race=ld43_sen
