I worked summers at a community pool. This sign is very much a necessity, and yes, there were still folks who would want clarification.

This is a pretty common sign to see at pools and hot tubs, not everywhere, but I have def seen it as a standard, permanent metal sign. Although I think it usually says 24-48 hours, not 14 days.

I've seen these at pools before, usually in hotels or motels, I think it's more the cheaper places, it's definitely one of those things where incidents lead to signs

When I managed HOAs in NorCal, we literally had to have signs at every pool forbidding kids in diapers from using the pools. Still had to pay to deal with their ‘accidents’ every month or so because a lot of parents suck.

there's one at the pool at my grandparents' condo complex. i've seen them on pools my whole life, plenty in hotels & at college or public swimming pools; perhaps you were simply unobservant in the past.

Oh, I’ve seen that quite a lot in the last 20 years that’s pretty standard now in public pools. I think it represents a breakdown in social awareness that families might need to be reminded that if their kids have the shits, they can’t come to the pool.
