Donald Trump is all kinds of shit; a piece of shit, a chicken-shit, a shit for brains, a dipshit. Remarkable.

I want the American experiment to include trying out new and creative ways to disempower, punish and impoverish our criminal and fascistic elite.
Catbusdear democrats: anything short of a concerted policy of scorched earth retribution against every one of these criminals, from the president down to the interns betting on Kalshi, means the end of 'the American experiment'

Crushing ICE *and* the mindset that mandates its existence is a moral imperative.
LunchCounterPunchAccepting anything less than the abolition of ICE is tacit support for the idea that at least some number of our fellow residents warrant being patrolled, harassed, kidnapped, or murdered, a morally heinous position unworthy of a decent people and party.

There is hardly a societal corrective that exists which white people, broadly, won't perceive as a diminishment of their status, or as a harm to their well-being. Gross as this is on its own, it is also essentially an admission that their place on top was and continues to be ill-gotten.
Lupita NihongoCore unifying white political ideology that trumps all else & subconsciously transcends almost all other political views white people hold. It’s why they shiv every single movement. It’s why they constantly trip over their own dicks. It’s why they don’t realize there are barely any pegs remaining.

When Democrats regain power, they need to make sure that those impacted by Trump’s/ICE’s reign of terror are given a platform to tell their stories.
LunchCounterPunchAnd this is not just about justice. We have to show what we care about in society; what we hold dear, and what we reject. Imposing consequences is one path. But so are testimony and storytelling, and the feelings of shame and rage, compassion and solidarity, they evoke.

The resistance to this kind of platform is going to come from ostensible allies within the Democratic party and it’s critical that those voices be either ignored or struggled against, because the way out fascism is ratcheting up our generosity and kinship to eleven.
Viet Thanh NguyenI saw a Wall Street Journal article attacking @francescahongwi.bsky.social for campaigning on free child care, mass transit to publicly run grocery stores, the elimination of all college debt, defunding the police, Medicare-for-all, and abolishing ICE, and I immediately donated to her campaign.

“What will the Republicans say?” demonstrates a lack of confidence, lack of will, lack of communication skills, and lack of control (which is being ceded to deeply unpopular, more overtly maniacal by the minute marauders). In other words, it reveals nothing worth saving about the Dem establishment.
