I mean, if you do crimes against humanity but neglect to prosecute them in your own country, you're bloody lucky someone doesn't send in an army to "free" you. The USA has spent a significant portion of its very short existence doing just that to other countries on much shakier grounds.

Difficult to imagine given current conditions? Sure. Undesirable? No. I would throw a party.

I'd actually be okay with all of that. In fact, let's borrow from the GOP the admonition that they're so quick to cart out against others: "You have nothing to worry about if you didn't do anything wrong." In other words, don't commit war crimes or crimes against humanity and you'll be fine.
