Judging by the text, it would appear this is both reported on already and subject to an investigation. And I get the strong ick vibes from people who try distract from sexual assault on their "team" by going "hey, investigate this, it's the other team". It gives the impression of a game.

While I read it & got it on the first try, it was the sort of cliff-edge read where at any point another subclause or extraneous word could have ended me.
