I didn't like The Odyssey when I had to read it in college and I can't imagine I would enjoy watching a movie adaptation of it. Yet another cultural phenomenon will pass me by, alas. At least I have been a fan of Erling Haaland for three years already and didn't just jump on that bandwagon.

I'm as anti-AI as anyone. But I'm editing a problematic Word document that has had a lot of different authors. There are very weird formatting things that must be fixed. MS CoPilot is in its element, creating the needed macros. Is it wrong to believe that this kind of #AI use is, well, good?

My tire had a nail in it. I took it to Town Fair Tire, and they fixed it in an hour for $13. While waiting, I sat in McDonalds, drank a Diet Coke, and read the latest edition of Harpers magazine while a man nearby listened to the Red Sox game on his phone, no headphones. What a weird afternoon.

20-year-old me would be so jealous of my life right now. I'm off tomorrow on a quick trip to Prague to visit a Czech friend who lives in the US but goes back every summer. Because I work for myself I did not have to ask for vacation time. I'm feeling spoiled but working on feeling grateful.

Went to the #worldcup game in Boston yesterday. The Moroccans' best player was injured, and they clearly had no plan B except to keep France at 0-0 for as long as possible. We met some nice Moroccan fans who had spent A LOT to come to the game. I feel so, so badly for them.
