You used to be able to google the time of the sunset, and Google would give you the exact time right on top every single time. Thankfully, with artificial intelligence, you can now ask Google what time the sun will set and it will conveniently tell you "I don't know."

Searches shouldn't have to be "properly worded prompts" when they used to just work as searches. It knows your IP so it knows where you are even with location sharing turned off. This was a solved problem a year ago. Now different people get different results, bc a bunch of bros weren't rich enough.
I use timeanddate.com for that
There is literally an academic research paper that technically defines LLM's as "bullshit" machines. Bullshit being an academic term distinct from lies or truth arxiv.org/abs/2507.07484
When I ask what the temperature is it gives me the temp in a city far away from me that has the same sounding name. Once when I asked what time it was it told me what time it was on the east coast. I'm in the west coast. When i asked why it didn't give me the time for where I was it apologized. Lol.

Actually no. I share my location and got the same amorphous location return. When I redid the search by adding "-ai", it gave my exact location and time of sunset where I am now.

Try timeanddate.com
This is about the only time it will tell you it doesn't know, instead of making something up bsky.app/profile/arga...
Andrew Gillett (wishlist Reality Drift!)I remember that when Red Dwarf series 8 came out, Terry Pratchett posted on Usenet that the new CGI version of the ship looked like a computer graphic, rather than a great big spaceship. I'm certain he didn't say that it looked like a big red turd.

Why ask Google when you can just gaze at this beauty for hours at a time: www.timeanddate.com/sun/uk/london
LLMs are a dead end — and, incidentally, an irresponsible waste of energy youtu.be/iFYF_e1GSGI?...
