How much money do people need? Taxes were so high before Reagan because people didn't need "that much" and it was the workers, community, infrastructure, government (etc.) that kept the wealthy's cash flow going. I've come to call the high tax rate the Morality Tax. We need to go back to it.

The same promises keep getting recycled, but the results keep looking familiar: bigger deficits, greater inequality, and working families left waiting for benefits that never seem to arrive.

How impaired does one have to be to believe that profit hoarders trickle down profits to the Masses?

We’ve seen it before, but history is taught anymore either.

But, where have we seen it? Every Rapeublican has said that all these things happen even if we can't see them happening. Who should we, the people, believe? Those who will benefit from these history rehabers, or what we see in real life? HHHMMMM!

What we have learned is that investing in infrastructure, companies paying a living wage and giving reduced med insurance costs actually boosts the job market cause consumers have more to spend on goods and services when they can afford to take care of basic needs. This creates more jobs

As I've learned recently ... industrial expansion is mostly funded by debt, on the assumption that future profits will be used to pay off the debt. Piling up profits for expansion is naive; the profits are taxed, the debt payments reduce taxes. The big money is used to buy yachts and Congress.
