Are some bad actors probably attempting to distill your weights? Maybe! Get better at catching them. At the same time, acknowledge that some are doing something better than you, and figure out what you can improve. Don't just throw that word around as a regulation dog whistle.

Seconding this thread. I'm also beyond tired of hearing the distillation complaint, when the timeline doesn't work for Kimi K3. It may have been true at some point, but eventually you've got to get off your cross, acknowledge they seem to be beating you fair and square, and get to work.

I don't think I would get one myself, given the cost-benefit ratio vs. the appliances I already have, but I have a friend who lives alone and swears by it both on convenience and kitchentop space saving (which is yet another consideration). So it does have its niche.

Not a Thermomix user myself, but tbf... Theranos was an outright scam, and I know a couple of Thermomix users who have been using theirs on a regular basis for longer than Juicero was even a company. I understand you can also use it manually, and it doesn't need to be perma-online (saves locally).

I am not sure this is a consent-shaped thing. Once we post content publicly, how people consume it is up to them. We don't get to enforce our choice of reader. If we want to impose such restrictions on the viewer, then an open all-public network is the wrong delivery mechanism.

IANAL but I am not sure this is a copyright issue. You are posting public content in a public network. Isn’t expecting people to use a specific reader the same as doing public art, then demanding people view it only with your approved brand of glasses? Licensing, reuse, etc. are different.
