Join us today at 2 pm if you can! In person or testify remotely. I wish we were voting on Phase 2 and adopting new neighborhood centers across the City today. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But hopefully we can at least pass legislation to minimize future harmful and unnecessary delays.

First, this is a thread worth reading, and I agree. Second, I want to point out that Dreher’s supposed strength, “AI regulation,” is really Ron Davis’s. If you want a lawyer-technologist who advocates for the humans, Ron has the superior academic, professional, and political qualifications.

Robert Cruickshank

If Dreher were some amazing candidate running on a platform nobody else was, or running in a purple seat against MAGA, *maybe* it's a different conversation. But he's running against proven progressive champion Ron Davis. We don't need Dreher. He should go away -- and we should vote for Ron. /end

It is bad news when a perfectly reasonable, well-established pretrial diversion program is being cut by "moderate Democrats," the same people who are all "we cannot abolish ICE" www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

This talk was great. A state bank in WA could bring many benefits - cost savings, reduced interest rates, the ability to invest public deposits toward shared goals, & return profits to the public purse. There is tremendous power in owning our own bank. Hope legislators find the courage to do it.

Sooooooo what they didn't like about universal school meals was the proposal came from the Mayor. Then, after killing the Mayor's proposal, they got stomped by public opinion and turned around to create their own version. I really expect better than this from our Council (well, not all of them).

Amy Sundberg

WOW. New announcement from Seattle CMs Strauss, Hollingsworth, and Foster saying they will fund universal school meals starting in the fall after all by using the general fund. Hard to see this as anything but a realization of the high political price they paid for their votes yesterday.
