The irony, of course, is that we have a perfect example of what happens when someone *does* block a ton of these abusers. Jbouie blocked liberally and was called a transphobe for it! The only conclusion here is: "submit yourself for public abuse and be smeared regardless of what you do"

It’s a conversation a lot of folks aren’t ready to have, but I’m guessing the poor moderation is because so many of his abusers are trans and they’re afraid of getting called transphobic for cracking down on the abuse.

It's crazy in multiple ways. One: it implies that Stancil's abusers have no self-control. When you bring it up to them, they try to worm their way out of this, but that's the reality. Two: it's outright admitting they think nothing can be done to stop them moderation-side. But it can be!

I know I’m out of step with this website on this (and that’s the website’s problem, not mine) but I find it genuinely repulsive that there’s a guy who’s a designated hate object and even the people who admit there’s derangement syndrome about him is real say 95% of the time that it’s his own fault.

The nuclear block should be paired with a feature where every month you can send a petition to one person asking to be unblocked. Like there’s one guy on here who has me blocked who I genuinely quite like, have no major disagreements with, and who talks to my friends a lot. It’s really inconvenient!
