Yeah, I've now seen multiple instances of some *very* aggressive El-Sayed supporters simply disengage the moment it's brought up, and it's *weird*! It's like they know deep down there's nothing they can do to defend it; it's like their script says "ABORT" at that point!

I think the core thing is liability/risk assumption. If a human /corporate entity has to sign off on any judgement calls made by the machine, that acts as a powerful natural break on a lot of the worst possible outcomes. The answer is unfortunately more lawyers. I take no pleasure in reporting this
SE Gygesin case anyone cares what ai regulation i WOULD sign onto, i'd be into anything about ensuring safe, beneficial, transparent, and standards-compliant development. but, no matter how many times you launder yud you can't get it to stop being actively degrowth in orientation and i am not into it

No no, silly, that's the wrong rock! The reality is that these folks don't *actually* want Dems to be aggressive or develop a spine, they want Dems to be crushed and then to cry out to them for a savior. That's been the whole last 2 years!

Martin is spending really aggressively. whether that's a good idea, we'll see, but a lot of the coverage is framing this as "lol DNC sucks" from people i'd expect to like aggression
