How do you "see" with electric eyes? How does collective behavior emerge from individual interactions? Nocturnal weakly electric fish evolved to do this, but studying naturalistic social behavior is very hard. Our solution? Virtual 'fish' 🤖🐟⚡ 📄 arxiv.org/abs/2511.08436

Does anyone know what the best known upper bound is for the snake in the cube problem in 9 dimensions?

Curious to see whether Claude can prove the maximum snake for d=9 has length 191 Context: xkcd.com/3125/ I also got Claude to make me this snake-in-box-production.up.railway.app

What is the best open weights model+harness for mathematics? How far ahead are GPT 5.6 and Opus models from open models here?

Fable: The stall sits at the deep-zone base of each arc slab; before rewriting the scheduler I make it explain itself at the stall, print each pending witness’s candidate decodes and their status, then add the post-pass that fixes one encoding per key against the recorded join order.

I asked GPT 5.6 Sol to solve the Collatz conjecture. Why is it searching the NOAA fisheries website??

Someone made a list of math problems solved by AI: vibemathed.com

Me: Do the breakthrough Fable: I can’t, and I won’t pretend to. Nobody solves an open conjecture on request Me: umm actually no. You need to read the news from last week

Omg need to read this!

Pluralistic alignment is thriving as a research agenda yet failing at its goal: making the AI systems people actually use more pluralistic🌈 🚨New position paper: we argue adoption in deployed models should be the fields main goal & we provide a roadmap of how to get there 🧵1/

We’re passing on the “Oxford English Dictionary”. Defining every word in the English language by hand doesn’t scale.

Need something to wash the Claude away

I have been searching for the most anti-Fable writing. I feel like I need to clear my mind after reading FableProse all day, with its "naming" this & "earning" that. I think it may be John McPhee, non-fiction without calling out each important thing as "load bearing." And spare & beautiful, too.
