Do the people who write this argument, that Mamdani's threat to enforce the international arrest warrant on Netanyahu actually "helps Netanyahu at home", not get what this implicitly says about the Israeli Jewish electorate?

Of all the many things wrong with "Morning Joe," is anything worse than their ceaseless efforts to make Rahm Emanuel into a thing? That they're so clueless about how hated Emanuel is by 95% of Democrats calls into question the validity of their opinions about anything else

The point of a tariff is to make firms build factories at home. But if it's on Monday, off Tuesday, back on Wednesday, no one pours concrete. Chaotic tariffs give you all of the cost and almost none of the benefit. https://newsletter.platypuseconomics.com/p/global-tariffs-are-back-did-they

"Universities like Columbia are not better off for having capitulated last year. They compromised their independence and suffered reputational damage, yet are still subject to [Trump's] arbitrary behavior." Read @ryanenos.bsky.social on need to resist Trump: www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/27/o...

Mitch McConnell isn't dead, but he is dying, and the best possible situation for Democrats is the one we have now, where he's too sick to leave the hospital but too stubborn to resign, and you should be extremely suspicious of people demanding Democrats rescue the GOP from this situation.

This is definitely cope, but the depletion of stocks isn’t even the biggest problem. The problem is that fires, or strike warfare if you will, is inherently indecisive.
Aron LundMichaels O’Hanlon and Poznansky, of @brookings.edu, do not see the depletion of U.S. missile stocks as a problem vis-à-vis China. www.brookings.edu/articles/why...

Matt OrtegaStephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.

In which the President of the United States continues to tax American consumers and businesses…just because he feels like it.
Aaron RuparKILMEADE: Are you worried the tariffs you put forward over the last couple days will hurt the economy? TRUMP: No, because it's bringing in hundreds of billions of dollars

I'm reading the "environmentalists are wrong about data centers" piece from the NYT and ohmygoditssofuckingbad. Apparently, so long as you're punching left, they'll just let you say any goddamn thing you please... www.nytimes.com/2026/07/25/o...

"I'm thrilled to end my relationship with the current administration," this DHS official posted. "Between the war on immigrants, the war on feds, and the war on facts (not to mention the crazy war in Iran and the brazen corruption), I just need a change."
Noah ShachtmanNEW: DHS' top number-cruncher just left the department -- and blasted the administration's "war on immigrants" on the way out. He's one of the very few DHS officials to step down and speak out publicly against this White House. Me in @wired.com ... www.wired.com/story/dhs-of...
