We have two weeks until election day and this campaign has never been better. I've been fighting for hardworking families my entire career. It's time to take that fight to Washington. Join us.

I couldn't be more grateful for the ATU's support. As a union flight attendant, I know the issues transit workers face & I’ll continue to be a champion for them in Washington. Workers need fair wages, safety on the job, good benefits and universal healthcare.
They tried to throw an Olympian, who trained and competed for his country, in prison to cover for the wannabe king who destroyed a national treasure with a corrupt deal with one of his cronies. This is why you don’t tell them “welcome home” or vote for their nominees or vote to fund their govt.
So our take is that all the supernatural stuff is PTSD-induced delusion, and that in the big final conversation between Penelope and Odysseus the reference to the Sea Peoples is his way of admitting he and his men have just been marauding for ten years. Thoughts?
Also, guys like this are usually in the might makes right camp, and once again, when it comes to the Civil War, I gotta say: scoreboard.
The immigrant union troops who defended their adopted country from slaver traitors are in fact, proof of concept of American higher ideals having nothing to do with “blood” or “heritage” or whatever cowardly euphemism is in vogue among these pathetic losers
For decades, Republican elites have clung to the idea that they would be able to control the extremist, far-right popular energies on the base they kept stirring, “harness the magic,” as Lindsay Graham put it in reference to Trump, for their own purposes.
New @epi.org data through 2026 Q1: workers are nearly twice as productive as they were in 1979, but their pay hasn't come close to keeping up. That divergence, redistributed to profits and executives, has cost a full-time median-wage worker over $23,000 a year
I gotta say, though, as an historian, the past six years have REALLY helped me better understand many moments in the past that once were confusing to me.
Micahman I will just never get over the fact that the collective response to the pandemic, and an absolutely miraculous vaccine development, was to destroy public health in this country and smear everyone involved I generally take a positive view of humanity overall but it's so depressing
BREAKING: New York just sued Kalshi — alleging it’s an illegal gambling operation. New York AG Letitia James alleges Kalshi failed to obtain a state gambling license and pay taxes. Her office is seeking an order enjoining Kalshi’s operations, plus fines, restitution and forfeiture of profits.
My name is Ali Daniels. I took the photo of Liam Ramos, and the PAC North Star Dawn is using that photo in paid advertisement to spread lies about Peggy Flanagan. They do not have my consent to use the image, and I am prepared to take legal action if it is not taken down. @angiecraigmn.bsky.social
Building on this, I reiterate again that the one demographic that voted for Kamala Harris in 24 at higher rates than Joe Biden in 20 was union members.
CAHSR's Strongest SoldierFeels similar to how a lot of online liberals blame unions for Harris's defeat because of the Teamsters, ignoring all the data about how union members actually voted in '24
Just when you think @angiecraigmn.bsky.social can’t get any lower… she is using that image of Liam without permission in an ad to vilify her opponent. Reminder that Angie voted for Laken-Riley, Angie voted to bring ICE into our community and then she voted to THANK ICE. Liam deserves better
I know it was 4000 news cycles ago, but earlier this month the administration released a 162-page attack on the Smithsonian, featuring an argument that the Chinese Exclusion Act wasn’t based on racism. That pissed me off. My new column on the white supremacist hate & violence that built to the Act.🗃️
the founders got the words right and the execution wrong. and we've spent the last 250 years making the actions meet the words. and we aren't going to stop.
We've hit 265 signatures in a week on this petition in support of an international grad worker facing retaliation at Tufts for protected union activity. We want to hit 500 by this time next week. Can you help by signing? All allies/people with basic decency welcome.
We Stand with International Workers! Reinstate Tufts Grad Student to Her Doctoral Program!act.seiu.orgThis Day in Labor History: July 29, 1987. Jobs with Justice was created in Miami at the AFL-CIO convention. It had inconsistent results, though still exists today, but at its best, JWJ can do amazing work creating necessary coalitions between labor and community groups. Let's talk about it!
Y’all, Black women in unions earn about $9,150 more a year than Black women without one. That is not charity. That is not luck. That is worker power. When we organize, we change the rules. That’s the union difference. 💜✊🏿
In states such as Missouri, JWJ played critical roles in statewide initiatives to raise the minimum wage, which even as it has still stagnated on the national level, is much higher than that even in many red states.
the "this is an academic being mean and once an academic was mean to me" response is unhinged. She's ripping a billion dollar movie not a second-year grad student.
Jeff VanderMeerHmmm. I read the Emily Wilson review of Nolan's The Odyssey and not sure what the hubbub is about. Are negative reviews not allowed anymore? Some nuance of her points seems flattened in the criticisms of the review, too.
