Less jack ports. Cables that must be "official'. Warranties that are in months, not years. EULAs that change constantly, regardless of if you want the terms of your contract changed. Technology these days is poisoned, and badly designed and disposable and you MUST not forget this.

Better social media sites? Well, can you get an actual person to respond when, say, your account is stolen? Do you get customer support? How many ads do they force you to see in the content now? How much "suggested for you" crap do you get fed? No. Its worse. It is far far worse.

Better software? Well, you rent it now, so the amount of bug fixes and new features is irrelevant- they no longer have to impress you.

Genuinely, the vast majority of American voters believe that only laziness or criminal intent could be stopping the average immigrant from obtaining US citizenship. The truth is that becoming a US citizen takes years upon years of work and requires navigating a baroque bureaucratic nightmare.

Legal immigration as most Americans conceive of it does not meaningfully exist in the United States. "Just come here the right way" is one of the most pernicious lies in contemporary US politics, accepted across the aisle as the goal of the immigration debate when it's impossible in reality.
