Not dumping trusted friends if they happen to be convicted criminals is one thing if you're an ordinary citizen. Not doing it if they happen to be convicted fraudsters - and they're channeling you huge amounts of money - as a party leader aspiring to be the next PM is very much another thing.

Except the Times investigation found it was 'Posh George' - who, for avoidance of doubt, is a convicted fraudster who looks to have also committed fraud to transfer huge sums of dark money to Reform through sockpuppet intermediaries - who provided Farage's security. So what did the £5 million go on?

Kind of a mental line from Farage on why it's so good for him to be fighting the Clacton by-election. Reform shouldn't ever have needed to be seriously fighting Clacton at the next general election if they were remotely on track to be the next opposition, let alone the government?
