Universal credit usually drops about 55p for every pound that you earn. PIP drops 0p, because getting back to work doesn't remove any of those extra expenses. Framing it as otherwise is a lie intended to hurt disabled and chronically ill people.

PIP stands for Personal Independence Payment. That does not mean "Money to support you when you cannot work" - Universal Credit has separate benefits for that. PIP pays for the things you need to get to work, or even life your life at all normally otherwise if you are unable to.

Hello everyone! Many of you likely saw this image recently with the Apple TV+ 'Neuromancer' promotion. Some know, others don't, but this artwork is mine, created alongside actor & post-production artist Milton Menezes, as a personal project and a homage to the original Neuromancer romance

Sargent made a living with portraiture but his personal work was quite radical, queer, and progressive. He also snuck that into the formal work when he could. So it is FASCINATING to see his work as the ex of "old" art expectations.

This one fascinates me because Sargent's work up close is actually far less "realistic" than people realize with a lot of impressionist influence AND because people assumed his work was "just" society portraiture for a long time. So they took him less seriously which is a nod to Rockwells own exp.

Love this. Over the years I've seen some weird takes on Rockwell that are clearly very unfamiliar with the deep social commentary going on. Also illustrators are real artists AND storytellers. I'm real interested in the Sargent vs Picasso and the fact that girl on the right could be right now.
