I think GPEW made the most of the unique unpopularity of Starmer, but will probably need to consolidate and bide their time before having the opportunity to make any more significant gains and not expect Burnham to be Starmer-level unpopular by the next election

On the one hand I do think that the UK’s structural problems are only worsening and Andy Burnham (and the Labour Party in general) do not have any meaningful solutions to that, but on the other I think Starmer *was* uniquely shit and we shouldn’t expect Burnham to become as unpopular as quickly

I'm sorry but I do think, even if it would be better if the situation had been avoided, that we need to be strong and consistent in pushing back against transparent bad faith nonsense

If I post an album on Instagram that contains photos of a demo and counter-demo, would that mean I was endorsing everyone I took a photo of? Would anyone I tagged in any of the photos be assumed to be supporting everyone else who was photographed, including their placards, etc?

since when has sharing an album full of pictures from an event meant you personally endorse everyone in the album and any text or symbols they might be carrying or wearing, let alone being potentially prosecuted for that supposed endorsement

it's ridiculous if the t-shirt itself is a crime, but it's perhaps even more absurd that anyone entertained the notion that sharing a photo album that contained a photo of a man wearing the t-shirt could possibly be a crime
