Frankly, I want to divest SCOTUS of jurisdiction to enter *any* orders reversing a lower court without a complete elaboration of the reasons why. They are the least busy judges in America with a self-selected workload. If they can't bother to explain it, they should not do it.

There is no evidence Joe Biden ever “weaponized” his DOJ. And his DOJ prosecuted the IRS leaker. Trump twice publicly promised to release his taxes. He also repeatedly publicly attempted to “weaponize” his DOJ in his 1st term and then repeatedly succeeded at it in his 2nd. They just lie.

That *is* an answer.

This is bad. Bad for researchers. Bad for science. Bad for universities. Bad for professional associations. For example: 1. Every award would be vetted by political appointees, who could overrule peer reviewers and deny the award if it doesn't advance the president's priorities. 1/🧵
