AI invents fake quotes. AI-generated articles about me appear in mainstream sites with totally fake quotes and info. The Times of India ran one last week saying I run a garden center. Other articles say my children are named Isaac and Malachai. Clearly my garden center is in "Children of the Corn."
Bryan Edward Stone (שָׁלוֹם)Someone gave me a "summary" that some AI had produced of a panel I was on, including pull quotes. The quotes were all invented -- no one on the panel said that stuff -- even though the AI was given an audio recording of the whole thing. I told them to trash it and did the transcription myself.

People keep using the "can't put a genie back in the bottle" metaphor for "AI", even though in the stories they always get back in and current "AI" is more of a "we're spending trillions of dollars and the energy output of a continent trying to keep this bastard out of the bottle" situation
