Well, I was going to spend the day reading 1st pass pages but instead I've spent it talking to reporters about how developers should of course pay writers if they want to use their work to train AI and how fed up I am with people thinking it's for some reason OK not to pay writers for their work.

*whispers* you know we can do this cultural debate about art thing all the time, right? Websites and news organizations used to have culture critics on staff whose entire job was writing about books, movies, and TV. People read them and then discussed them. We have the technology to do this again.
