Um, it's not about Apple. All tech companies that transmit and/or store images do this.

I've of course experienced something similar on Android, just this week Google flagged a fully swaddled baby with its new mother as nudity. The image contained no nudity. I am curious though, what's the motivation in the article? It doesn't really seem to have a conclusion.

In 2026, how often is an image sent to your personal phone number actually going to be “unsolicited”? I am on the apps (in Seattle, granted…) and if anything the energy is more ARE YOU SURE because people are hyperaware of the need for consent. Right?
