I am struck by how most of the colleagues who are loud and proud about their take on Nolan's "Odyssey" have remained completely quiet on Israel's genocide, ecocide + annihilation of heritage in Palestine and Lebanon. Neither to they connect the two topics. What does it say about our fields?

SandersThis is just such beautiful music and these are such astounding harmonic creators and realtime composers that I can't begrudge anyone another 30 seconds of Monk etc. But to accompany them, every instrumentalist has to compose "behind the scenes" too, and taking a solo lets us hear that composition.
