furuio22 июл., 06:40It's the former, Final Fantasy 1 had the same limitation, hence all the wonky spell names in English. Japanese uses syllabic phonetic characters, so they can spell a lot with 4 chars (in this case スリプル, suripuru).

pmcTRILOGY22 июл., 01:37it's been a lot of fun! I've been working through games that are "predecessors" to PS1 games and so assuming I get to legend of mana some day, gotta get the preceding mana games FFA definitely been one of the best so far (FFL and BOF less so 😅)

pmcTRILOGY22 июл., 01:45the first FFL is almost primordial but I believe FFL2 introduces more of the core Saga series mechanics, so hopefully that'll be more interesting definitely looking forward to Secret and SD3 for sure

ShadowsThePrideMammal22 июл., 06:24Yeaaa breath of fire 1 has some interesting scenarios in it and I love how every party member has their own unique powers but that first game particularly can be kinda annoying with how long the dungeons take and how frequent fights are. 2 is a huge improvement tho imo if it helps

heapinfrimp22 июл., 02:39i hate to pester strangers but ffa-vs-som is a sore spot for me. I found sword of mana to be a depresing and underwhelming experience on both paths, as nice as some of the graphics are. I would say don't waste time on any tedious rare-drop side "quests" since they won't get you anything useful.
