My ex did a fucking number on me (wasn’t allowed to wear makeup or dress feminine or spend time with other queer people without a fight, she wouldn’t even call me Naomi until it had been my name for 2 years…) It’s sad to spend so much time healing from someone who was and remains so important to me

I could explore it; I'm in a rare position among women like me (especially ones who grew up like I did) where the cost alone is not a dealbreaker. More the mental obstacle of allowing myself to consider cosmetic things (and prioritize my own happiness in general), and fear of having it done badly..

I sometimes wonder what something like FFS would do for someone like me. I often pass in casual interaction, sometimes even other trans women don't clock me until we've hung out a few times. I've never been masculine, just graceless, poorly postured and in the way. I'm just like my mom that way 😅

I always feel fugly and dysphoric, and dunno if I'll ever be happy in my body or face; I don't think most trans folks are. I like my face enough from some angles, sometimes... not often. I have a lot of anxiety around being seen at all, in person or photos, but these make me feel *almost* pretty~~
