obviously this is very late but that is a legacy video mode included, if poorly, for people who might have had old hardware when the game came out and not at all how it was ever meant to be played, which was in 256 colors. even the lowest resolution full color looks better than the highest res 16

i PROBABLY should have replied to the base post something like "that is a legacy video mode included out of courtesy for people who might have had old hardware when the game came out" but i tend to think out of order and i also saw it very late since i was looking up moraff for unrelated reasons.

even in the non-optimal 360x480 256 colors mode it looks substantially better yet plenty ridiculous. There is bright pink on the floor tiles and text comes in at least 5 different colors. you additionally get psychedilc yet incredibly ugly brown-green color cycling on any highlighted object

the game came out in 1993 so i think most players would use a 256 color mode unless they couldn't. In 1995 I sure did. Definitely in 2026 i don't know why anybody wouldn't except to misrepresent how awkward the game is and it is awkward enough working as intended. in 16 colors it simply doesn't.

i could probably get a question directly to steve moraff if i really thought it was important but i doubt he would remember this particular issue since its implementation is so incomplete. It DOES bother me when someone posts screenshots like this as if the game was designed to be seen that way.

he drew or edited together most of the monsters in module 3 but the new artwork in unforgiven were credited to Logan Gilbert. Moraff's World graphics are credited to Rodney Page but they do have some similarity with the ones Moraff made himself.

that is what happens if you play it with a 16 color video mode. i determined that you CAN edit the color palette so that the dithering works but it would need to be updated each time a different monster moved into view and maybe that is why it was left in that garish state

regretably this name looks very familiar to me. he isn't remotely involved with this remake project but i am fairly certain he is a direct relation of the one whose name is on it.

seinfeld isn't a pro-genocide sitcom any more than the cosby show is a pro-rape sitcom yet both shows have the guys' names in the title and only one of them became synonymous with the awfulness of the guy. Though I suppose "Seinfeld" the show IS pro-misanthropy.

as bad as this is, Boy George at least has PREVIOUSLY acknowledged that the Palestine occupation has caused suffering, Not quite on the level of Jerry "I don't care about Palestine" Seinfeld who supports occupation and whose sitcom I still see regularly promoted and homaged on websites like this

it is easy to cut one's self off from awareness. what might be funny is that he refers to jews as "us" in the song even though he is not himself jewish. he might feel victim kinship as an older homosexual even though gay marriage is still not possible nor likely to ever become possible in Israel.

he had jewish friends in the early 1980s and developed the idea "jews = israel = the victim in any conflict, permanently" and never thought about it very hard/at all. Which admittedly was official policy for most western media until the 2020s. The question may be how Boy George remained like this.
