I think there's a weird trend on Twitter where a lot of anime fans have begun to misuse xenophobia and racism if you liked a dub. It's also funny because I was reading up on Bolero and a criticism of that classic song is that it's lowbrow and a lowest common denominator classic song

I think we forget like as big as it blew up the original Pokemon was really just kind of legit game nerds just nerding out (Something regardless of quality I don't think the bulk of clones chasing that cash don't inherently have)

Found out the Kaijuu Monogatari games have been translated which is neat but apparently like...translated by basically Rush Limbaugh and full of pointed remarks at Obamacare?

The color scheme reminds me of the shellfish guy from Kaiju Monogatari. Incidentally I had an idea for a Water Starter for a fan game also based on this color scheme and having a spiral shell lance

As far as I'm concerned if it's your paid time off you should be allowed to use it for whatever.

I don't wanna assume the quality of the modern games is indicative of the state of the developers but I do wonder (and I recall vague rumblings awhile back) if Game Freak doesn't feel as fun and creative with the ballooning cost and expectations of modern console games

As a kid I knew Sasuke from the Mystical Ninja 64 manual but never got far enough to unlock him...but like he's easily the best character in the series. Also like the default character in most games getting around due to his speed

Crypto from Telefang

Some of the designs remind me of Telefang in how monstrous and weird they are And then we have the Grass Starter kind of being Crypto

Finally took the dive into PC and emulation and it's like a whole new world I've missed...or rather old world. I have played more games this last month than I have maybe all last year

I was interested in developing a Pokemon fan game using the RPG Maker XP engine...have a pretty ambitious idea in sort of my idea for a reboot with some of the mechanics sort of simplified with hindsight.

Digimon World 1 through 4 are like completely different genres, and pretty obtuse and difficult too. 4 sucks though.

At the same time Digimon was constantly switching up their games...and did kind of settle for closer Pokemon style games for awhile...that I don't blame people for finding Digimon harder to get into than Pokemon as you didn't really know what kind of game you'd get in its early years.

I would highly recommend trying out Digimon World for the PS1, it's an amazingly unique game and nothing like Pokemon.

And then in games with huge rosters I get anxious realizing I can't really use them all, like Chrono Cross. I hate that game because it gives me so many characters but then it's basically like "no no you can only use like one". Some people don't have that issue and just use who is best atm

It's been awhile since I've played or checked on the fanbase but like ten years ago people were just kind of figuring out how the Digivolution system works. It seperates it from Pokemon for me as that's a series where basically every little mechanic has been figured out and easy to learn
