Yes, I pay myself rent in order to avoid tax, but it is coincidentally £1 less than the level at which I would have to declare it under Parliament's transparency rules.

Is everyone in Westminster just totally corrupt? Is there anyone there to actually represent their constituents or are they just paying lip service.

Ответ для busygranof6

Don't tar everyone with Farage's brush

Ответ для Rhian Williams

No but there is plenty of corruption in the other parties. Taking donations? Bribes more like.

Ffs

So he knows exactly what the rules are when it suits, and ignores them when they are a hindrance!?

Ответ для Errol

He seems to be on the ball with this one.

“Too clever” for his own good. He has been rumbled and he is on his way out.

What a coincidence.

Hmm..of course, there’s the new PM Andy Burnham who had a flat in London, moved out so he could rent it out and charge the taxpayer for his “new” accommodation; or the £5m Cayman island donation to Lab just before 24 election, timed so it did not have to be revealed b4 the election

Vote for me. My whole life’s mission, and that of my backers and party colleagues, is to trouser as much as possible and avoid contributing as much as possible to the public purse. A great way to lead and shape a nation.

Coincidence who would have thought that. How come he is allowed 50K in the first place? We the mugs pay everything probably more than we should coz we can't afford tax avoidance experts

I’m stunned

In what kind of sane country is this even legal?

Another tax dodge

Vote Binface!

I’m guessing this has been put out by Reform to get a “they’re all at it” outcome.

Ever the grifter

Yeah but woke establishment bins or something.....

Any other MOs trying this scam ?? He cant be the only one ??

He’s totally here for ‘the people’ (but the people who have multiple properties, non doms and dodge tax). You know, all of us on minimum wage. We’re like one big happy family

Well, he would wouldn’t he. He has mates that can advise on fraud and money laundering ?

Obviously worth asking your own MP the question 'why is £49k a year in rent not worth declaring under transparency rules'?

It’s so obvious this man is a fraudster and like his pal Trump will stop at nothing to enrich himself, often using unsuspecting idiots who gain nothing from supporting him.

yeah fair — coincidentally £1 under the line is basically the whole move

Do we think he is the only playing this game? No. the trough is full of them fighting to get in.

Ответ для mqb2766

I thought that property rented out in this way also attracts capital gains tax for that proportion of the poperty when it is eventually sold. Would seem fair, if true.

Farage is trash, Bin him!

Ответ для Janey

Indeed! #BinDayVote

Still needs to pay tax on that income - I hope he's declared it!

They are all friggin crooks. The middle class and low income workers pay for all the government services for these shameless swindlers. Time we assert our considerable influence and put an end to this graft.

Thank you. That was very moving. I now feel I have a better handle on Count Binface than Andy Burnham about whom I know nothing.

That £1 is really doing some work for the old scheming toad. Clacton! Make your vote COUNT!

Ответ для Peter Bowden 🇬🇧 (Vote Binface, not Bin Juice)

Probably paid into one of his companies & stays below taxable levels.

Obviously the studio isn’t in the far flung Clacton

But he’s entitled to do that and has done nothing wrong. The more this sort of abuse of the system comes out, the more establishment he becomes.

Wow, Nige, your life is full of surprises … and full of coincidences too. Who knew?

Grifting in plain sight.

Oh FFS!!🤦‍♀️

He really is a wholesale grifter isn’t he. Grasping. Nauseating. A snivelling public school whiner. I’d like to slap the fuck out of him until he could whine no more.

Thank god for the establishment when it comes to his expenses & tax avoidance

This is the problem with MP’s, there are far too many loop holes They should be paid 1 big lump sum & pay all their outgoings from that payment Stop 2nd jobs & we may get people in it who want to do better for their constituents Instead we have a system that allows & encourages fraudulent behaviour

Let me guess, his company which he pays rent to is registered in the Isle of Mann where it pays no tax? Basically, money laundering.

It’s accrual world when your anti-establishment financial and accountancy wheezes just aren’t recognised and valued. Sometimes such heroic, man-of-the-people, tax dodges just aren’t appreciated in their own time (but are sensibly depreciated at a later stage when helpful for liability purposes)…

Farage is a con man, as usual.

It's more grift from Farage.

The Farage grift never stops

It reminds me of the stoning scene in The Life Of Brian: “You’re only making it worse for yourself “ Clocks ticking Nige. The encounter with Count Binface beckons. Beware the Ides of August.

Ffs what a cheating twat

K

“Pay myself rent”? I confused…

He’s a shocker, isn’t he? (Not that that’s a surprise to anyone). I don’t suppose he’s the only one, or that ReFUK are the only party or company gaming the system. I wonder how difficult it would be to clean it up?

This may be legal but it is morally unacceptable. It’s no wonder that these people can accumulate their wealth while the plebs can’t are never in a position to do the same.If they could it’s people like Farage who would prevent them from doing so.

🤢

And he calls himself a patriot yet doesn't want to join the taxpayers who pay week-in and week-out, via PAYE, contributing to keep the country funded.

Don’t understand - he’d get tax relief at a lower rate in the company so if he received £50k personally he’d be paying higher rate tax on the income Have I got this the wrong way round?

First tax loophole for @andyburnham.bsky.social to close. We need a list.

Not anymore….

How very fair that is!🫢

For a man of the people he knows how to bend every rule in his favour.

This fact alone shows he knows exactly what the rules are and that ignorance is no defence.

Our taxation system is a farce. But only if you have a nice pile to start with.

Fartage vs the establishment clearly!!

I don't believe he even seriously wants to be a politician or win a general election and be PM I think he's literally only in the game to make money for himself.

Ответ для aquariously

He is entirely in it for that reason, yes. But he could make an absolute fortune by selling the NHS to the American insurance companies, which he can’t do without being PM. So, he does want to become PM, just so he can make even more money. He doesn’t actually want the job, per se.

Ответ для jameselise160

Yes, and removing everyone's human rights so corps can basically get slave labour from everyone in the UK. He has got millions, he wants billions #traitorFarage #DeformUKKK

Ответ для jameselise160

Straight from the Trump playbook

Ответ для aquariously

See how much money Trump has made while being president. I’m sure he really wants to be PM to suck as much money from that as possible

Ответ для aquariously

And spread his horrible views.

Ответ для aquariously

I've been saying this for a long time. I genuinely believe that he has zero interest in being PM. It's all about the grift. Always has been. Always will be.

Ответ для aquariously

That has always been his only reason for setting up and running a political party.

A quick Google tells me that rental of studio space caps out at about £40800, so he's paying himself about £9k over the typical market rate if we're being generous with the figures. Depends on square footage and location of course... maybe he's renting himself a really *big* studio in his house...

BINDEPENDENCE DAY IS COMING.

'Rule', or opportunity to grift? Depends on how brainwashed you are I guess!

Phew. Just lucky those rules given to us by nature or God, His very self, are in place. Immutable and unknowable. Who gets ' rules' like that? That's not a ' rule'-- That's a grift put into jargon.

This sort of stuff is what the rich get away with, while claiming that benefit claimants are the drain on the economy 🙄

Scrounger

If he forgot to go to the cashpoint, does he allow the rent to be paid ‘in kind’? I mean, if anyone should ever go and F themselves.

Yeah, he has to go to prison. End of discussion.

That sounds like the sort of thing a rich establishment figure would do and get away with...

1. Where is the property? 2. How big is the 'studio space'? 3. Does the £10k include all utility bills etc 4. What is a comparable rent in the area? 5. Is the 'studio space' used exclusively for 'work'?

What ‘man of the people’, challenger of the establishment, doesn’t have arrangements like this?

Some in the UK deserve a self-serving, swindling fraud as their leader. As it reflects their own personal motivations. The majority do not. Farag's UK is based in the past. Not what should be, our future.

Possibly both. Definitely missing the I bit in AI if synthetic. Block fodder either way.

In solidarity with 'the people' I see. Millions of us up and down the country also pay ourselves £50000 in rent. Can't wait for Nigel to boot the establishment out.

Seems perfectly honest and above board. Perhaps we should call him "Honest Nige" from now on.

Wow, what are the odds on that completely coincidental figure being the same? 5,000,000: 1 I'd say.
