Oh my god. My (biracial) son loves listening to birdnote on the way to Meeting on Sunday. I'm going to show him this. He got so upset when the regular host had to take a break

Love this story! How amazing to find a mentor and role model. ☺️

I love the idea of a seven year old having a mentor. Ups his game big time.

"It's a sycamore! My favorite tree!!" omg this is SO wholesome

I’ve listened to it twice!

American Sycamore (not actually a Sycamore) is also my favorite, and my son (10) points this out. I could not love this segment more

It was an adorable interview, but this made me lol bc I grew up with a gorgeous old sycamore in our backyard, but we dubbed it the “crap dropping tree” bc something was always falling off it. Seed pods, bark, leaves, clean it up & repeat

I was on the train the other day and overheard a 6yo telling his mom that he wanted to be a librarian when he grows up.

Oh, this was so sweet. Now I want to meet Keith, too!

❤️

Saving this for later when I can actually listen. Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes it’s good to meet your heroes after all. You can hear and feel the budding relationship generating its own oxygen in real time.

I’ve now listened to this three times and tomorrow I’m going to listen to it again

It's so good. Birds can save us if we let them.

the wonder children have about the world 🥹 ..just have a lil something in my eye

9:30 on Saturday night and I’m tearing up. Great story.
