I watched the video expecting it to be someone doing big loud claps for an extended time to be disruptive. Nope, just a couple seconds of soft, polite "I agree with that statement" clapping. And his spouse fighting tears as he's dragged out by cops who can just murder people with impunity.

These government officials just can't handle the fact that people they represent are actually in the room now & demanding answers about the bs they've been doing in quiet back rooms behind NDAs, so they make some bfd out of clapping to try and reassert dominance they believed they had but never did.

There were stories like this during the gas fracking real estate bubble in Pennsylvania in the 2000s.

Squished in the middle of this story was this heartbreaking paragraph. Unconscionable.

And we can heat our homes in better ways than having methane gas and diesel turbines polluting in our neighborhood to print cryptocurrency nobody needs and power AI slop nobody asked for.

Stop telling me data centers can heat homes in winter with systems that will actually put out the most heat in the summer when it's hot and we know they aren't going to do home heating anyway and what good is it anyway if the intense noise & vibrations make you sick and put your mortgage underwater.

The water is polluted using closed and that uses a lot more power requiring more gas or diesel turbines and the heat changes the immediate climate threatening the surrounding. Nobody needs that heat in the summer when it's worst.

Its would take hugely more space to run it on battery and solar look up the math it would be miles and require more deforestation. How about we just don't do crypto and ai slop at all.
