Weirdly the thing that fully convinced me that capitalism sucks. I work at a library. If my basic needs were met, I’d happily do it without pay. Not to mention it’s a service that is wildly popular and is capitalism’s inverse. If capitalism’s so good, why do libraries keep picking up its slack?
Learning about local volunteering opportunities due to this project has Kinda been "wait wtf that isn't a paid position?" Like the airport here has a help desk for where to go or make suggestions is a volunteer position instead of paid for by the airport or some sorta business tourist association

my dream is to see a demilitarized American police force again in my lifetime. it was good enough for me growing up, it'll be good enough for my grandkids growing up.
