sometimes the internet is a wonder, sometimes the internet is a mistake and sometimes the internet brings you "cheerleading 9/11" and has transcended the need for adjectives
CSketchOh my god I think I found the video.
That writer guy you like. Bi, trans, polyamorous, slutty, neurodivergent, hot. Buy my book that explains why politics has gone weird. I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. https://linktr.ee/iheartpolitics

I think people are seeing the mass arrests of people for wearing t-shirts and holding signs in support of Palestine Action and are assuming there's One Weird Trick to force the cops to treat Nazis the same
Mallory Moorewww.thenational.scot/news/2641894... This is great and all, but the police already ignore it when Nazis turn up with Combat 18 flags and combat 18 has been banned since they went on a bombing spree in Muslim Jewish and Gay areas in London.
Oh my god the dietician who is telling everyone in the White House to only eat steak and sauerkraut doesn't wipe his ass.
The best way to honour a writer who proudly wrote what they believed is to quote word for word exactly what they believed. Like this. ⬇️ www.theguardian.com/media/2010/j...
Sunder Katwala (sundersays)Liddle's ex-colleagues find it easy to defend his mainstream journalism as a lark But a conscious effort to ignore what his Millwall-Monkey stuff revealed."Even the Jews were allowed to smoke at Auschwitz" was reported. His "niggermeat, not wogmeat" comments + most virulent sexist threads were not
Well, the FCC Commissioner has made the decision, first announced in an op-ed in Breitbart, stating that a regulatory body does not have to observe laws made by Congress if they don't feel like it. Every month is new and unprecedented territory. docs.fcc.gov/public/attac...
They made the trans woman disappear from this story like it was a magic trick. Incredible work, everybody
Karrid 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️Well, it appears that, sometime in the last 17 hours, Gwen Pepperoni was suspended for the crime of pointing out Ken Jennings' transphobia.
A PSA to my fellow cis people who are (or want to believe they are) trans allies If you are getting pushback from trans people and your reaction is to be all “no! not me! I’m one of the good ones!” please remember that “being one of the good ones” is something you DO, not something you ARE
Ex-PM Starmer said, in response to Raise the Colours terrorising people, ‘I am supporter of flags’, ‘I’m very encouraging of flags. I think they’re patriotic and I think they’re a great symbol of our nation’ and his family had ‘got St George’s flag in our flat’ www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...
Cllr Dr Alex PowellThe campaign of harassment and intimidation Raise the Colours have undertaken against council staff, contractors, and members of the public as reported by the Clarion today is shocking if not surprising. Excellent reporting. oxfordclarion.uk/the-clarion-...
For fuck's sake. The "protected belief" phenomenon has really got out of hand, judges are increasingly just throwing it out there for any weirdo who wants to harass people at work. Reminder that this provision was intended to protect *religious* beliefs.
pleased to announce that I've been hired by The New York Times. my job is to commission articles written by right-wing politicians, activists, and billionaires where they describe their activities in whatever way they see fit. it's nice because I don't have to edit or fact check anything
A satirist? Post-Today programme he could maybe be said to produce satire in a Juvenalian sense -- predictable dyspepsia against uppity social wreckers, foreigners, queers, and other social enemies. Juvenal at least had the excuse of being born (probably) into wealth.
Not speaking ill of the dead is how Jimmy Saville got something approaching a state funeral.
Rod Liddle said what they all secretly wanted to say. Jimmy Savile did what they all secretly wanted to do.
You "finish" writing a book like 37 times before it is actually done, and each round is absolute hell
Katie MackWriting a book is so weird because before it’s released there are half a dozen REALLY IMPORTANT DEADLINES for drafts & edits and each completely consumes you & is impossible to explain. “I just spent 72 hours locked in a room doing my copy edit review; I forgot what the sky looks like” “…congrats?”
Guys will listen to male influencer bullshit about needing to have a six pack and manipulate everyone and meanwhile women will go “you know who is the sexiest fucking guy I’ve ever seen?” and post this
Certain posters are not beating the allegations that a certain type of British journalist is incapable of extending empathy to anyone other than the 50 or so colleagues they run into at dinner parties, a grace they extend to those 50 people but think minorities & the disadvantaged are unworthy of
The Times, one of the leading voices when it comes to 'protecting women and girls' calling a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend, said he would rape the kids if he was a teacher and called for child sex abuse porn to be legal, 'brilliant'
I think this confuses the private person, who can be mourned by friends, family and colleagues, and the public figure, whose legacy can be assessed based on his work. These are two different things and they have to coexist
Leo EnrightI am saddened by the tone of commentary in this place about my former BBC colleague. The level of vitriol seems more suited to the other place. I worked with Rod at the Today programme. He took no prisoners, but he was witty and personally capable of genuine warmth. My sympathy to his family.
Haters focusing on Liddle's violence toward his pregnant partner, his galloping racism, or his repeated defences of paedophilia, should remember to mention he was also one of the worst writers to ever do it. A calorie-free hack of the first water. Just absolute dogshit, back to front.
They are so far down the rabbit hole, they don't even realise it.
