I don't think people understand how thin the line between "deportation" and "extermination" really is - not just in Europe, but everywhere the topic comes up. Many people feel comfortable with the idea of deportation because it obscures the underlying violence that is necessarily implied.

(Don't take my half-fooling as a sincere assertion that there's been no fake shortages and opportunistic profiteering that used supply/demand shocks as an excuse to mark up huge profit margins. I'm just amused by how viscerally and furiously I feel there should be a natural price for burrito.)
