A compelling example here of how quickly arguments against compulsory voting descend into arguments against democracy: "we don't want those people voting, they'll just vote for goodies for themselves"
In 2023 the right forced NatWest, owner of Coutts, to apologise for closing Farage's account. Its chief executive, Dame Alison Rose, had to resign. Given what we know know about Farage, she should ask for her job back Piece from me
When I look at the title of the substack article below I can't help but hear the XTC hit, "Making Plans For Nigel". If only there was a talented, musical family who could satirise it into "Writing Cheques For Nigel"... @marshfamilysongs.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/nick...

Never understood why commentators who vociferously profess to care about Israel's safety have failed to see how damaging Netanyahu's strategy is.
Aaron RuparEnten on the 67 point swing (!!!) against Israel among Americans: "We're not just talking about the Democratic base anymore. The general electorate has turned against Israel. This is not just a left issue. It's an American issue. The trend line is unbelievable."
