I do play an embarrassingly small amount of games off camera ever since I lost interest in Pokémon. been trying to change that but guess i won't have time for much longer.

one weird thing about being a streamer is sometimes you forget not all your gameplay is being recorded like you'll see something weird and forget to take a screenshot cuz instead you think "I'll check the vod"

Hubs and I were discussing the Yoda "there is no try" quote yesterday. We both really feel like that's terrible advice that leads to defeatest behavior. Trying is fundamental to learning and growing. And really, trying is a form of doing, but I feel like most people hear "do" and think "succeed".

And even if you do not actually ever produce a garment, seeing how hard manual spinning is will encourage the student to have a healthy respect for civilization and technology, as well as encourage them to take good care of their clothes and not be wasteful with them

The point isn't to produce essays, it's to teach students how to think for fuck's sake. The minute you automate that, it's over. You might as well close the course. Which they're also doing. This is an attack on learning, and everyone is just shrugging.

Nope. I don’t accept this position — that we are powerless to change the outcome of this mess. We have a small, time-critical window where we can collectively navigate through this. Also don’t forget, these are commercial entities that are selling products/services that are subject to laws.
