File this under scaling new heights of hypocrisy, Ric McIver encouraging people to get a mail in ballot. He was the minister who eliminated tabulators and tightened voter ID rules based on no evidence. The long line ups, and astronomical cost of the referendum to taxpayers are on him.

222,000 signatures is impressive. It's still lower than the original threshold set by the Kenney government. Not to mention time frame and regional requirements. Key takeaway: without Danielle Smith's rule changes, the separatist petition would have failed.
