Got a new laptop this week and first thing I did was uninstall Microsoft CoPilot, so... y'know, go fuck yourself.

This is why Tech CEOs are the opposite of the geniuses the media portray: AI is NOT real "artificial intelligence". It doesn't reason. It synthesizes information in ways that fools people into thinking it is generating something original. Passing the Turing Test /= 'the singularity'.

I've played around with AI enough to know what it is - and any academic using it as more than a fancy search engine is playing with fire. It is capable of some degree of synthesis, often flawed, and that's about it. If you're letting it do your thinking for you, you're a fraud.
