I have long, long, LONG since past the point where I have zero patience or forebearance with people who are pretending to just now learn that AI hallucinates information.

Surely the solution here is just *don't use AI tools* for your writing and research and continue to do your writing and research in ALL the ways you were doing it before you started using AI instead of doing the work??

As an archivist, I take psychic damage every time a document which by all the Laws of People and Gods should have a date on it, but doesn't and psychic healing every time I encounter handwriting that is both very legible and stylish. Checks and thank you cards are almost always psychic neutral.

I will have to see the Odyssey again before writing any actual critique. In general, the first time I watch any movie or TV episode I tend to want to prioritize the emotional experience of watching it, just letting it happen to me, rather than trying to rigorously deconstruct and analyze it.

I liked Nolan's Odyssey a lot really, but it feels odd that everyone is behaving like it's somehow overwriting the Homeric text itself. The poem has been around for millennia and will—knocks on wood—in all likelihood continue to. The movie is a footnote on the poem, not the other way around.
