I felt this viscerally. Was it old or new Pyrex? It doesn't really matter, I'm weird. The new stuff, all lower case logo, is more impact resistant. The old stuff, all upper case logo, is more thermal shock resistant. I prefer the old stuff, but both have their qualities. Neither is fun to clean up.

Some rando in my feed talking about how Americans have gotten what we deserve with Trump just caught a block. Yes, 77,000,000-ish people betrayed the values that we're supposed to hold dear, but there are 265 million other people here who abso-f***ing-lutely deserve better.

I can't speak for my niece's partner, but I made pollo adobado for my aunt, her partner, and my sister while I was visiting them in Tennessee, and Charlie (Her partner) really seemed to enjoy that.

1. The best pesto I ever made, bearing in mind that I've only made it at all a handful of times, was a walnut pesto recipe that I used pecans for (Pecans are a little sweeter, and, to me, more complex, and they have a higher fat content than walnuts if memory serves).

Though things like the baby sling, and its many variants contributed hugely to the signature modern human trait of food resource exploitation. You can accomplish a lot when you're well fed.

My mother taught me to cook. A high school home ec class I got stuck with because of late registration turned out to be awesome, and broadened my base skills. I learned a lot from the people around me, and still do from my current partner, but the internet really did change everything.
