Netflix is struggling with keeping viewers "hooked" because it keeps canceling shows after 1 season so no one trusts a Netflix show to last. Its that simple, regardless of whatever their bullshit internal analytics are informing them.

That sucks, I played some type 4 and had a few drinks with Lake at a GP Seattle, and they were a lot of fun.

I am nostalgic about starting out again with them, but not about the system or the man behind it. Reminds me of the classic Gary Larson comic about creating the world, just substitute "table/scale" for "jerks" and move the jerk label to the hat.

I play with friends who are occasionally nostalgic about AD&D (which is fine) and talk about starting a campaign again. I have a REALLY good memory for what I have read, and I don't think they do. The pure insert-mathematics-because-I-feel-like-it drives me a little insane.

I also read these as a kid, and all of the Scott-Card, Tolkien, etc. because I read almost everything they had in the section (it was only one shelf out of my entire library, so...) I started putting most of my (meager) money into used books in middle school and that helped a lot.

The whole kushiel's series was quite the ride, I think I read them in my mid twenties. The Xanth series and a lot of other stuff were on the library shelves in a lot of places because they were prominent SciFi/Fantasy and a lot of smaller libraries didn't have someone who read up on them.
