Buffet Infinity (2026) is an analog horror comedy movie about corporate consolidation, over consumption and the increasing presence of advertisements in our lives. Its "Too Many Cooks" if it were made by Adbusters, with a dash of cosmic horror. I absolutely loved it. 👍

You can rinse and repeat The Odyssey "they cast a black woman" controversy with so many movies over the last couple decades. I can remember when there was a massive shit storm over the rumor Zendaya was being cast as MJ. Or when Idris Elba was cast as Heimdall. They do this shit every time.

I'm happy people are checking this movie out. I liked it a lot.

On one hand, the original movie was so successful they could probably justify having an inflated budget for Barbie 2. On the other hand, everyone keeps handwringing recent movies for having budgets that are too big and inflated, so maybe Zaslav is right here? 🤷

I love that Spider-man: Brand New Day went back to basics, but I can tell that a lot of people memory holed why the MCU Spider-Man originally departed from the traditional Spider-man formula: Because people were sick of it after the previous two film iterations happened so close to each other.
