I have been weighing what more to say on the news continuing to unfold about St. Paul's mayor. There are layers here, but as a St. Paul resident, as someone who has worked with the Mayor, and as someone who has frequently experienced harassment; I hope the Mayor seriously considers stepping aside.

Craziest part is that she just took office in January, now we're told the investigation started in April. So at least 50:50 odds some of this was happening while the rest of us were standing in the Minnesota winter protecting the local elementary school from being raided by ICE.

About every 6 hours the past two days there's been an update that drops my jaw another inch. She was my state rep for a number of years and I didn't like her then for other reasons, but I could not have guessed this.

I completely agree with your sentiment, and welcome the support in this bizarre moment! But let's be strategic in how we actually deal with a problem elected official, not just put on display how much we care.

If you're an elected official or candidate from *outside* St Paul calling for Mayor Her to resign, you should be talking to colleagues to put pressure that way, not posting about it. Presumably most of your followers are also not StP residents thus can't really have a direct effect on say a recall
