Right now there are school board members across Minnesota that are choosing to use their platforms for political grandstanding - rather than supporting their students and districts. This was a bad, rushed, motion. Working with local community to respond. www.startribune.com/detroit-lake...
I have high trust in Minnesota’s election infrastructure and preparedness - but this recommendation is spot on. This administration and its enablers have openly talked about disrupting elections and disputed free and fair election results. Let’s protect this fundamental exercise of democracy.
Professa MurrayI encourage everyone to treat this election as the Carter Foundation would treat an election in a compromised democracy. Make sure to train to be a vote observer in your local community. Support the early voting as much as possible. Understand how the vote is reported.
I hope these allegations are fully and fairly investigated. Our public officials at every level should be held to high standards of ethical behavior. Care to all those who have experienced harassment in workplaces. Be thoughtful about your comments & jokes. kstp.com/kstp-news/to...
“All of us trans people are just doing our own thing. Doing our jobs, getting groceries, trying to find pleasures when and where they present. Outside one little mistake at our birth, we are just like everyone else. Yet we haunt the thoughts of right wingers who simply cannot accept that we exist.”

EMQ > Elon. There are few use cases more indefensible than AI being used to generate non-consensual pornographic content that has and will continue to be used to cause real harm to real people. Grateful that we passed this law. Hope MN can get a win over the trillionaire.
Minnesota Star TribuneTech billionaire Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI has challenged a Minnesota law banning apps that digitally alter photos of clothed people to make them appear nude before the law takes effect Aug. 1.
In short: The "intense scrutiny" of this program is unwarranted. The same accounts that manufactured this moment are the same ones that have led to countless threats that I have personally responded to over the past couple of years. They don't care about facts, they are generating hate for clicks.
5 Eyewitness NewsA University of Minnesota program involving transgender therapy for children is under intense national scrutiny.
If you are looking for ways to plug in to electoral work over the next 100 days in Minnesota, here is my quick action guide 🧵🗳️ 1. Wherever you are, do work for AG Keith Ellison. 2. Pick one local candidate you *love* 3. Pick two key candidates we *need* 4. Do work for them (bring a friend!) 5. VOTE
“Every single person who marched today is proof that we are not going anywhere.”
Dave AwlOthers have noted that this gigantic march hasn't gotten the level of attention it deserves—so let's amplify the story. This seems like a good writeup from the Independent. "An estimated 150,000 people marched through central London in the world’s largest trans pride event, organisers have said."
Holding community in Berlin in my thoughts. Awful.
NBC NewsBREAKING: One person is dead and several are injured after a car drove into a crowd during Berlin’s LGBTQ+ Pride parade.
