I have been weighing what more to say on the news continuing to unfold about St. Paul's mayor. There are layers here, but as a St. Paul resident, as someone who has worked with the Mayor, and as someone who has frequently experienced harassment; I hope the Mayor seriously considers stepping aside.

Last night I got hate on my after hours voicemail, tonight it was a heartfelt thank you from a community member. Sometimes the universe balances itself out in beautiful ways.

I have high trust in Minnesota’s election infrastructure and preparedness - but this recommendation is spot on. This administration and its enablers have openly talked about disrupting elections and disputed free and fair election results. Let’s protect this fundamental exercise of democracy.

Most of the time the hate mail/messages I get as part of my job don't really land at all for me. It is what it is. But sometimes, like today, they just leave me feeling a little more unsettled. Not asking for support, just acknowledging it. Be kind. Always.

In short: The "intense scrutiny" of this program is unwarranted. The same accounts that manufactured this moment are the same ones that have led to countless threats that I have personally responded to over the past couple of years. They don't care about facts, they are generating hate for clicks.

There are a lot of reasons why I chose to endorse Peggy Flanagan in this primary. But mostly it's because I want more leaders who root themselves first in relationship, in community, in care. Peggy Flanagan has shown that time and time again. Proud to vote for her. Hope you'll join me.
