HER PRIVATE HELL is an intoxicating and elusive return to feature films for Nicolas Winding Refn—a filmmaker I have my struggles with. Not this time. Looks like I'm the HER PRIVATE HELL defender. It's rightfully divisive, but I got swept up in Refn's fever-dreamy neon sorta-slasher.

Matt is absolutely correct, Pinocchio Unstrung is a surprisingly good n' gory time. Went down really well in the screening I just came from too.

PINOCCHIO UNSTRUNG is legitimately good, and I'm just as surprised as you are. It's giving Seed of Chucky/Chucky (the TV show) vibes with a folkloric twist. A shockingly tender blend of whimsy and gore that's worth hearty laughs, plus rad puppetry!

I liked Thrice but never loved. They’d have to be in a weaker time slot for me to see them at Warped, knowing how much I love other bands there.

I've seen Underoath, so i'll prioritize only if there's nothing else I want, but yessss for Jimmy and Hoobastank! Both first times.

hahaha I know, the comeback this year is strong. But like, I somehow haven't seen Jimmy Eat World yet ... ever ... so it's a sweet opportunity. and yes! i looove grandson, he's on my list to see.

Yeah, it's a great mix of genres and bringing in big names.

Warped Tour is two days away, and it's rad that they revealed the bands playing each day, but damn, it's almost more nerve-racking because I can already predict the overlaps that are gonna break my heart.
