The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

What I hate about COVID downplayers is… you won okay. In the aftermath of humanity coming together to develop the most crucial vaccines of our lifetime & collectively sacrificing to save lives, we are now less safe, less vaccinated & less empathetic than ever. You won ok. Lay down your swords.
It really frustrates me how many people talk about the impact of COVID as an ongoing thing and then just go to crowded spaces without a mask as if they don't actually care. I always mask up when I go anywhere and it's only ever like 2% of other people I see masking. It's depressing.
People’s review of Silo are totally polarized, either love it or hate it. So of course I got curious enough to watch. Some say it lags, others say don’t care about the characters and Common is a terrible actor. Many say it turns a fantastic corner in S3. I’m only on S1, ep 8 and completely hooked!
I'm old enough to remember when there was no wildfire season, it was just called 'summer'
As we recall the trauma caused by COVID in 2020, we should not forget COVID continues to harm. Many still suffer from Long COVID, people who mask are often harassed, and we haven’t scaled clean air infrastructure. If we truly acknowledge past harms, we should be working to create a better future.
police exist to protect private property, which is to say real estate and businesses, and it could not be more apparent from the way they treat the theft of PERSONAL property like they're Lost and Found. like if it shows up, they'll call, otherwise why are you bothering them..?
Coach FinstockMy neighbor across the street got burglarized and he said the cops literally said "we're on to these guys" after saying "they've hit 20 houses in the area" and then he asked why they were able to hit 20 houses if the cops were "on to these guys" and that was the end of the investigation lol
I'd like you to hear "Clear homeless encampments" And understand it's "Take everything from people who have nothing"

The irony of CBC News interviewer cutting David Suzuki off with “we’re running out of time” to ask him the last question, hoping for some optimism to wrap up the interview, and Suzuki finishing with, “TAKE MORE TIME FOR YOUR PROGRAM TO TALK ABOUT THESE ISSUES, PLEASE!” #ClimateCrisis

The west Toronto rail path is open. It’s really open! Just the other day. Closed since 2022, Metrolinx said it would be a year. Ford Math. Anyway the artwork that outlined (space w out paint) the trees is now a memorial to those trees.
Happy Lower Don Trail Opening day to all who celebrate!!!! After what feels like a decade of closure (since 2023 in reality), the trail has finally (mostly) been reopened. I took a ride down to see the finished product. So far its looking promising. #bikeTO #cycleTO #LoveTheRavines #Toronto
