Daddo and married to @jenancona. Consultant of Destiny™️, standing athwart history yelling WTF. Research, persuasion, media, and processes for understanding the Dem-left coalition. A lot of my research etc lives here: chartingthewayforward.substack.com

This is morally monstrous behavior. These are ordinary, innocent people that Trump is condemning to suffering & death out of political vindictiveness. Every decent human being, regardless of political party, should condemn it. Where is the fucking *anger*? From the press? From civic leaders? Pols?

FEMA said yes to Democratic disaster requests. Trump killed them anyway.President Donald Trump cast aside bipartisan precedent when he rejected eligible disaster requests from four blue states.www.eenews.net

"Are they fearful of the socialists’ plans to ensure all Americans have health care and stop genocide, or are they not horrified by what Trump has done. Here’s what scares me: that Allen and VandeHei would say “yes” to both," writes @alexshephard.bsky.social. newrepublic.com/article/2136...

The New Red Scare Is Here—and It’s Dumber Than EverThese Beltway pundits desperately want us to believe that there’s an equivalent of Trumpism on the left.newrepublic.com

one thing i'll note here is that we are running US refineries absolutely flat out - 97.5% utilization at most recent read - and we are holding ~steady in the [very low!] inventories of diesel [distillate] and gasoline. one problem - an accident, malfunction, whatever - and that doesn't hold anymore

US commercial petroleum stocks fell by 3.7 MMbbl last week, with product builds (especially propane) offsetting a larger 7.2 MMbbl draw in commercial crude stocks. Total crude stocks stocks fell by 11 MMbbl including a 3.8 MMbbl SPR draw. Crude and gasoline precariously low.

Predatory capitalism has been running pretty much unchecked my entire adult life. Decades. We're going to need to try a bunch of things to start to slow this massive flywheel down and start spinning it in the direction of more equity. Another era of bold and persistent experimentation. Politics aside, do people believe city-run grocery stores with deeply discounted prices are a good POLICY idea? What are they intended to accomplish, in your view? What problem do they solve? Would you implement them if not running for election? I'm sincerely curious in people's answers here.

I help with (and occasionally am on) a podcast that’s precise main purpose is breaking through this dynamic!! bsky.app/profile/wayt...

“The DNC‘s funding problems are a capital revolt” is, the more that I think about it, the key to understanding all of Dem politics right now. The capital is not donating to the DNC bc Ken Martin won’t make promises to crypto or other big money/corp donors. More places should be reporting on this!

1. girl lmao 2. ken martin is a terrible people manager, this was always true 3. imo, the common leftist narrative that ken martin is responsible for pushing centrists and so on is flat wrong. the inverse is happening here. the dnc's funding problems are a capital revolt
