This is morally monstrous behavior. These are ordinary, innocent people that Trump is condemning to suffering & death out of political vindictiveness. Every decent human being, regardless of political party, should condemn it. Where is the fucking *anger*? From the press? From civic leaders? Pols?

this is genuinely, entirely insane
Murshed Zaheed“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...
"Are they fearful of the socialists’ plans to ensure all Americans have health care and stop genocide, or are they not horrified by what Trump has done. Here’s what scares me: that Allen and VandeHei would say “yes” to both," writes @alexshephard.bsky.social. newrepublic.com/article/2136...
one thing i'll note here is that we are running US refineries absolutely flat out - 97.5% utilization at most recent read - and we are holding ~steady in the [very low!] inventories of diesel [distillate] and gasoline. one problem - an accident, malfunction, whatever - and that doesn't hold anymore
Rory JohnstonUS commercial petroleum stocks fell by 3.7 MMbbl last week, with product builds (especially propane) offsetting a larger 7.2 MMbbl draw in commercial crude stocks. Total crude stocks stocks fell by 11 MMbbl including a 3.8 MMbbl SPR draw. Crude and gasoline precariously low.
It's genuinely insane that it's a mainstream belief that the problem with COVID was that we did *too much* to address it.
Aaron RuparRep. Ogles: "Look, I don't want to play down the effects of the virus, but at the end of the day it had a roughly 1 percent mortality rate. We coulda gotten through this."
and with your family is part of the Good Life. Don't just order an expensive burrito and have it delivered via burrito taxi guy while a cut goes to some tech middleman. Sure. It's NYC. You can always, always go out, but in is Good too. I would want to know more about the history of other experiments
Predatory capitalism has been running pretty much unchecked my entire adult life. Decades. We're going to need to try a bunch of things to start to slow this massive flywheel down and start spinning it in the direction of more equity. Another era of bold and persistent experimentation. Even further:
Will StancilPolitics aside, do people believe city-run grocery stores with deeply discounted prices are a good POLICY idea? What are they intended to accomplish, in your view? What problem do they solve? Would you implement them if not running for election? I'm sincerely curious in people's answers here.
I help with (and occasionally am on) a podcast that’s precise main purpose is breaking through this dynamic!! bsky.app/profile/wayt...

This episode is a great example. Joe talks to enormous numbers of people, ergo he knows very many things! Lots more than me even, it’s completely awesome. bsky.app/profile/wayt...

Alexander WilliamsI am throwing stones in my glass house but it’s amazing how much online politics coverage seems to involve the same people going on each other’s podcasts and quoting each other’s Substacks rather than going outside and talking to people.
only one man alive could make Dulles worse
Olga NesterovaHere’s what I got Trump will make a public unveiling of upcoming architectural and structural renovation plans for Washington Dulles Int Airport, alongside Duffy. They’ll remodel airport's terminal layout, passenger transport systems, and parking based on Trump’s hand-drafted plans.
“The DNC‘s funding problems are a capital revolt” is, the more that I think about it, the key to understanding all of Dem politics right now. The capital is not donating to the DNC bc Ken Martin won’t make promises to crypto or other big money/corp donors. More places should be reporting on this!
neuse river hag1. girl lmao 2. ken martin is a terrible people manager, this was always true 3. imo, the common leftist narrative that ken martin is responsible for pushing centrists and so on is flat wrong. the inverse is happening here. the dnc's funding problems are a capital revolt
