My personal mad idea is the government should be borrowing billions/trillions and installing solar on everyone's house in every possible place, and then instead of paying an electric bill our electric would come from that (& batteries) and we'd be paying the debt off instead of electric bill.

I know people who are OUTRAGED that SNAP recipients buy cookies but are totes fine with giant corporations that don't pay a living wage, forcing employees to seek food assistance. They're fine with a president doing a smash and grab, enriching himself. But how dare someone buy their kids cookies.
